Dr. Rebekah Gillin Glen Burnie, MD

Dr. Rebekah Gillin, PT, DPT, OCS

I was born and raised in Easton, MD and was homeschooled with my 4 older brothers. I convinced my mom to let me try boarding school for my final 2 years of high school and graduated from Shenandoah Valley Academy in 2009. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Maryland (2014). I then attended the University of Delaware and received my Doctor of Physical Therapy in December 2016.

While I was in PT school, one of my clinical instructors was completing an orthopedic physical therapy residency program. It seemed like so many of the skills she learned she had told me she had learned in residency. I decided that I wanted to also continue with another year of optional residency training after school so I could specialize in orthopedics and learn new techniques to help my patients. While completing my residency I had the opportunity to treat a wide array of orthopedic conditions, and I developed a passion for treating knee and low back conditions. I completed my orthopedic residency at the University of Delaware in February 2018.

Outside of physical therapy I enjoy cuddling with my 2 cats and spending time with my family (lots of siblings = lots of nephews… and 1 niece). I love the beach, listening to podcasts, reading, and playing piano (although this has gotten a little rusty without much access to a piano in college). I also enjoy cooking and love finding new, healthy recipes to try.

My husband and I decided that while we loved our time in Delaware, it was time to return to our roots in Maryland to be closer to family. I was immediately impressed with the personal attention Atlas provides to all patients and the camaraderie I felt between all the staff. I knew immediately I had to be a part of this team, and I am so excited to be joining the Atlas fam!
